Change or cancel your plan
Only the billing owner can change or cancel the plan. That’s the person who created the workspace, shown as Owner on the Team page. Everything below starts in Plan & billing, which only the billing owner sees.
Upgrade from Solo to Pro
Section titled “Upgrade from Solo to Pro”-
Open Plan & billing and choose Upgrade to Pro.
-
Check the summary: Pro with 1 seat, plus any extra numbers you already have. Your numbers and settings carry over, and you stay on the same billing period, monthly or yearly.
-
Choose Review upgrade. SimpleVox shows the amount Due today, prorated for the rest of your current billing period and charged to your saved card. The quote is good for a short time.
-
Choose Confirm upgrade. When you see that Pro is active, choose Invite your team. See Invite your team.
If your card is declined, you’ll see Payment needs attention and a link to Finish payment on Stripe. You stay on Solo until the payment goes through.
Other plan changes
Section titled “Other plan changes”For any other change, email support@simplevox.net and we’ll take care of it:
- moving from Solo straight to Boost
- moving between Pro and Boost
- moving from Pro or Boost back to Solo
- switching between monthly and yearly billing
- handing billing ownership to someone else
Change people or numbers
Section titled “Change people or numbers”On Pro and Boost, you pay for each person in your workspace. The app calls each paid place a seat, and seats follow your team:
- Add seats when you invite people. If you don’t have enough open seats, the invite window lets the billing owner add them and pay the prorated amount. See Invite your team.
- Remove someone to free a seat. It stays available until your next renewal, then drops off if nobody is using it.
To add an extra number, add a number when your included numbers are all in use. To stop paying for one, delete a number you no longer need. See Choose a number.
Cancel
Section titled “Cancel”-
Open Plan & billing and choose Manage billing. This opens a secure billing page from Stripe, our payment processor.
-
Cancel your plan there and follow the prompts.
-
Back in Plan & billing, your plan shows Ending and the date it ends. Everything keeps working until then.
Changed your mind? Before the end date, open Manage billing again and resume your plan.
If SimpleVox isn’t right for your business in your first 30 days, see the money-back guarantee. For how cancellation affects charges and refunds, see our billing and refund policy.
When your subscription ends
Section titled “When your subscription ends”When a cancelled plan reaches its end date, or a failed payment can’t be collected:
- Your numbers stop taking calls and sending texts, and they’re held for you. Settings → Phone numbers shows them as Calls paused.
- They’re held for 30 days, or 14 days if the plan ended because a payment failed.
- The billing owner gets an email 7 days and 1 day before the numbers are released.
- To get your numbers back, open Plan & billing and choose a plan again before the hold ends.
- After the hold, the numbers are released and can’t be recovered. Past calls, texts and contacts aren’t deleted when a number is released.
Delete your account
Section titled “Delete your account”Cancelling your plan doesn’t delete your account. To do that, go to Settings → Your account and choose Delete account. As the billing owner, you’ll first need to cancel your plan and remove the other members. See Security and privacy.
Need a hand?
Section titled “Need a hand?”If you’re thinking of cancelling because something isn’t working, tell us first at support@simplevox.net. We may be able to fix it.
