Create your account
Setting up SimpleVox takes a few minutes. You create your account, create a workspace for your business, choose a plan and then pick your first number.
If someone already invited you to their workspace, follow their invitation instead. See Join a workspace you were invited to.
Section titled “Sign up”-
Go to my.simplevox.app/register, or choose Get started on any page of this site.
-
Choose Continue with Google or Continue with Apple, or fill in Your name, Email and a Password of at least 12 characters, then choose Create account.
-
If you signed up with email, check your inbox for a verification link and open it. If it hasn’t arrived, check your spam folder or choose Resend verification email. Google and Apple sign-ups skip this step.
-
SimpleVox asks How will you use SimpleVox? Choose Create a workspace to set up your own business. Choose Join a workspace if you were invited to someone else’s.
A workspace is your business in SimpleVox: its numbers, team, contacts and inbox. It can be a company, a team or just you.
Create your workspace
Section titled “Create your workspace”
-
Enter a Workspace name. Use the name your customers know you by. Your team sees it when they join, and it shows when you connect an AI tool.
-
Add your Industry and fill in About your workspace if you like. Both are optional. Call summaries use them to understand your calls, so a sentence about what you do and who you serve helps.
-
Check the Time zone. Business hours on every number follow it.
-
Choose Create workspace. You’re its administrator and its billing owner.
SimpleVox then opens a Get started list with the steps that are left. Each one is checked off as you finish it, and you can come back to it from the sidebar.
Choose a plan
Section titled “Choose a plan”You need a plan before you can add a number. There’s no free trial, but every plan comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee.
-
From Get started, choose Choose a plan. This opens Plan & billing.
-
Pick Monthly or Yearly, then choose Solo, Pro or Boost. Solo is for one person. Pro and Boost are for teams and priced per person. See Plans and billing.
-
Choose Continue to Stripe and pay on the secure checkout page.
-
Back in SimpleVox, wait a moment while your payment is confirmed. Your plan then shows as Active.
Get your first number
Section titled “Get your first number”From Get started, choose Get a phone number. You search by city or area code, pick a local number, name it and choose who it’s for. You can also get a toll-free number, or bring the number you already have and use a new one while it moves. See Choose a number and Port your number.
Join a workspace you were invited to
Section titled “Join a workspace you were invited to”When someone invites you, you get an email called Join business name on SimpleVox. Choose Review invitation, then sign in or create an account with the same email address the invitation was sent to.
After you verify your email, SimpleVox shows your invitation. If you see a list under Join your workspace, choose Review invitation first. Then choose Accept invitation. The workspace pays for you, so you don’t choose a plan or start a subscription of your own. If the invitation came with a new number, you pick it next. See Invite your team.
Signing in
Section titled “Signing in”Sign in at my.simplevox.app/login the same way you signed up. If you created your account with an email and password, signing in with Google or Apple using that same address won’t work, because SimpleVox doesn’t link sign-in methods automatically. Use Forgot password? if you need a new password.
To protect your account with a code from an authenticator app, turn on two-factor authentication. See Security and privacy.
Your time zone and business hours
Section titled “Your time zone and business hours”Your workspace has one time zone, set when you create it. You can change it later in Settings → Workspace. Each number has its own business hours on its Business hours tab, and they all follow the workspace time zone. Calls inside those hours take the open path of the number’s call flow. Calls outside them take the closed path. See Call routing.
What to do next
Section titled “What to do next”Most owners do these in order:
- Choose a number.
- Set up the number’s call routing and voicemail greeting. Until you change it, a new number rings the people it’s set up for, all at once for 20 seconds, then goes to voicemail.
- Turn on the browser phone so calls can ring you in the web app, and get the mobile app for calls between jobs.
- Invite your team if you’re on Pro or Boost.
- If you want to send texts, start your texting registration early in the Trust Center. Carrier review takes time.
