Example prompts
Once SimpleVox is connected, ask your assistant the way you’d ask someone in the office. If your app lists ready-made tasks from SimpleVox, start with Catch up on calls and texts, Follow up on missed calls or Activity report. These prompts work in any AI app connected to SimpleVox. Mention SimpleVox by name the first time in a chat so the assistant knows where to look.
Before asking it to act, check your connection’s permissions and the shared confirmation rules.
Get set up
Section titled “Get set up”- “Using SimpleVox, what’s my business number and time zone?”
- “I just signed up and don’t have a number yet. What do I do next?”
- “Why can’t my business send texts yet?”
- “What is this SimpleVox connection allowed to do?”
Your assistant can tell you which setup step is missing and link you to it. It can’t choose a plan, buy a number or change your texting registration for you.
Catch up
Section titled “Catch up”- “Using SimpleVox, who called today and what did each person want?”
- “Show me yesterday’s voicemails, with a one-line summary each.”
- “List this week’s calls and texts on the Office number.”
- “Who called this week from a number we don’t have saved?”
- “Which of today’s conversations are still unread?”
Find who still needs a reply
Section titled “Find who still needs a reply”- “Which missed calls and voicemails this week haven’t had a call or text back?”
- “List unresponded missed calls on the Crew number since Monday, newest first, with what each caller wanted if they left a voicemail.”
- “Has anyone called back the customer who left a voicemail on the Crew number this morning?”
Clear the inbox
Section titled “Clear the inbox”- “I’ve called back everyone from this morning’s voicemails. Mark those conversations done.”
- “Mark the conversation with Mary unread so the team sees it.”
- “Which conversations are still unread, and which of them can I mark done?”
Review the full conversation before clearing it. See Mark conversations for how status changes cover activity.
Hours and call routing
Section titled “Hours and call routing”- “Are we open right now?”
- “What happens when someone calls the Office number after hours?”
- “Who gets the call first on the Crew number, and how long does it ring?”
- “What does our voicemail greeting say?”
Your assistant can read these settings but not change them. It links you to the number’s settings in SimpleVox.
Search what was said
Section titled “Search what was said”- “Search this month’s calls and texts for ‘leak’.”
- “Find the text about Thursday’s appointment.”
- “Did anyone mention a gate code in the last two weeks? Show me where.”
Search matches the exact word or phrase, across up to 31 days at a time. Searching “leak” finds “leaking” but not “drip,” so try a few words if the first finds nothing.
Check your numbers
Section titled “Check your numbers”- “How many incoming calls did we get last week?”
- “How many calls did we miss on the Office number this month, by day?”
- “Break down last week’s calls by number.”
Counts cover up to 31 days at a time.
Before you call someone back
Section titled “Before you call someone back”- “What’s the latest with Mary? Include links to the calls and texts you used.”
- “What did we promise the customer at (202) 555-0142 last time we spoke?”
- “Summarize this morning’s call about the water heater and what led up to it.”
- “What address did the caller give on this morning’s call?”
Quote the details
Section titled “Quote the details”- “Quote the part of the transcript where they agreed to Thursday.”
- “Quote where Mary said she wanted the special order.”
- “Did the voicemail mention a gate code? Show me the exact passage.”
Text a customer
Section titled “Text a customer”- “Text Mary from the Office number: we’re confirmed for Thursday at nine.”
- “Write a short text to the caller from this morning’s water heater voicemail saying we can come tomorrow afternoon. Show me before you send it.”
- “Did my text to Mary go through? Tell me the status SimpleVox shows.”
A text that was sent isn’t the same as delivered or read. Texts are words only; your assistant can’t send pictures.
Set up a call
Section titled “Set up a call”- “Call Mary from the Office number.”
- “Call the customer at (202) 555-0142 and ring my iPhone.”
- “Call Dan about the quote, and remind me privately that it’s for the Example Street job.”
- “Are we connected yet?”
- “Cancel that call.”
- “End the call.”
See Assisted calls for device setup and what happens when you ask to call someone.
Keep contacts current
Section titled “Keep contacts current”- “Save (202) 555-0142 as Dan Ortiz, Example Property Management.”
- “Change Mary’s mobile number to (202) 555-0187.”
- “Add a note to Dan’s contact: gate code is in the last voicemail.”
Plan your day
Section titled “Plan your day”- “Make me a callback list from today’s voicemails, most urgent first.”
- “Turn this week’s calls into a list of quotes I still owe people.”
When the answer isn’t what you expected
Section titled “When the answer isn’t what you expected”- Two people with the same name. If you have two Marys, the assistant should ask which one you mean. Add a company or a number to narrow it down.
- Something is missing. The assistant only sees numbers you can access and chose for this connection. A recording or transcript may also still be processing. Ask again in a few minutes.
- The time window is too big. Searches and counts cover up to 31 days at a time. Ask about a narrower window, like “last week.”
- Something looks off. Ask “where does that come from?” and open the source. If a summary and the transcript disagree, trust the transcript.
- It can’t do what you asked. The assistant can tell you whether the connection needs another permission, and whether you can turn it on or need an admin. If SimpleVox can’t do it at all yet, ask it to “send that to SimpleVox as feedback.”
